BHAGAVADGITA-MEDITATION ON THE GITA( PART 2 )

This is what the practice of mediation promises us.Now,with this in mind,  let us meditate on a few salient teachings of the Gita in order to make them a part of our life.

3) THE GOAL OF LIFE

we are all divine nothing can alter this fact we come from god live in god and go back to god however much this divinity might be obscured it manifests itself in the end gita states this truth succinctly

"THE UNREAL NEVER IS THE REAL NEVER IS NOT MEN POSSESSED OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH FULLY KNOW BOTH THESE"

if we are all divine then the goal of life is clear says sriKrishna the goal of life is god-realization to see god in everything in everyone at all times it may seem to take a long time but in the end all of us are going to reach god evolution presupposes involution life and nature are gradually but inevitably leading us back to where we come from god the dualities of life such as pain and pleasure good and evil are there only to make us realize and unfold our divinity and lead us to god

after undergoing all the experiences in life we get spiritually educated and then realize our real nature and learn to see the same divinity everywhere in the things.

4) MY DEVOTEE WILL NOT PERISH

25 centuries ago the Buddha the enlightened one declared life is full of suffering indeed no one can escape suffringng on one became a saint enjoying the comforts of life there are many things that can happen in life our near and dear ones may desert us we may have to go through terrible trials but we should not fear difficulties sri Krishna assures us that if devotees sincerely leads a spiritual life relying on him he will not abandon him he will look after him soon does he become righteous and attain eternal peace that my devotee is never destroyed  not only is the devotee protected god stands by him under all circumstances

SRI KRISHNA SAYS
PERSON WHO MEDITATING ON ME AS NON SEPARATE WORSHIP ME IN ALL BEINGS TO THEM THUS EVER ZEALOUSLY ENGAGED I BRING WHAT THEY LACK AND PRESERVE WHAT THEY ALREADY HAVE

indeed whatever we do to improve ourselves remains with us no effort in this direction goes vain its results may be slow to come they never go waste

5)THE PURPOSE OF SPIRITUAL PRACTISES

all spiritual practises are aimed at getting rid of delusion about our real nature it is possible to reach this state of disillusionment only by the Grace of god and teacher and by earnestly working for it in a practical sense all spiritual practises aim at gaining controlling and purifying the mind as the gita says a controlled mind is one greatest friend and an uncontrolled mind is ones worst enemy though mind control is very difficult task it can be done though practises sri Krishna says that through  practise and dispassion have done in the past and will do in the future what is needed is constant effort to always work for purification and control that is primarily our own responsibility to bestow is gods responsibility
