Meditation on the Gita
This is what the practice of mediation promises us.Now,with this in mind,  let us meditate on a few salient teachings of the Gita in order to make them a part of our life.
6) THE TWO PATHS

There are two main pathways to realiise god the path of devotion and the path of knowledge both the paths lead us to god there is on question of superiority or inferiority about the paths a spiritual aspirant should chose the path suitable to his or her temperament since most of us are body bound and are quite emotional and bound to ego the gita tells us to take up the path of devotion declares sri krishna in the gita 


"greater is their trouble whose minds are set on the unmanifested for the goal of the unmanifested is very hard for the embodied to reach"    (11)

7) SURRENDERING TO GOD


sri krishna advice arjuna and through him all spiritual aspirants that the only sure way of realising god is through total self surrender to god it is through the will of god or the divine mother that one becomes great or small becomes enlightened or remains ignorant happiness depends entirely on the will of god 

surrendering to the diivine is the only way for worldly achievements and spiritual advancement (yoga) this is in accordance with the teaching of the upanishds 

"the self is not attained through discoures nor through intellect nor through learning it is gained only by him who is accepted by the self to such a one the self reveals its true nature"  (12)


LAST WORDS

The bhagavadgita is a treasure house of spiritual insights in order to truly benefit from these one should meditate on these and make them a part of their thinking as the aspirant gain fresh insights and progress towards the highest of life-god he realises the greatness of gita evermore
